Biography* | Bernice Walsh Braun, 1921-1971: Bernice grew up in the 3100 block of North 12th Street in St. Louis 2nd ward and was married in the parish where she was christened. Witnesses to her marriage, performed by James A. Hoflich, were Robt. Schulte, Frank Oswald, Geneva Dahn, and Ivanell Debert. Bernice died on a Tuesday 10-days before her 50th birthday. She was survived by her husband Joseph, daughter, two brothers, a sister, and others. Bernice's funeral was held on Saturday at St. Jerome's Church, Bissel Hills. Buchholz Mortuary, 5967 W Florissant Avenue, was in charge. She was buried in her parent's plot. |

Biography* | Mildred Lears Walsh, 1906-2001: Mildred was born to a first generation German-American father born in Texas and a Missouri born mother whose own parents were born in Kentucky. In 1910, the family lived at 2327 Mullanphy Street in St. Louis 18th ward. Her father was employed as a shipping clerk at Grand Lead. By 1920, Mildred's father had died and the family was living in the 2200 block of Warren Street in the 18th ward. Mildred, a resident of Saint Ann, St. Louis County, died on a Friday at age 94. She was survived by her son, two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Mildred's funeral was held on Monday from St. Kevin's Church. She was buried with her husband in his parent's plot. |

Biography* | Edward G. Whetsel, 1904-1962: By 1920, Edward's mother was married to carpenter Leo Gallon and they were living at 2521 Shirley Avenue, St. Ferdinand, St. Louis County. Edward, a Methodist, was married to Norine Walsh in 1927. Witnesses were Chas. Degnon and Florence Roth (who would marry Norine's cousin later in the year). By 1930, Edward and Norine were renting at 1113 Branch Street in St. Louis 2nd ward for $23/month. Edward was employed as a city patrolman. Edward, a resident of 1901 East Prairie Avenue, died on a Tuesday at age 58. He was survived by his wife Norine, brother Merlin, and others (his son is not mentioned). Edward's funeral was held on Thursday from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 20th & Linton Avenues. Math Hermann & sons, Fair & West Florissant Avenue, was in charge. Edward was buried with his wife's parents. |

He was a member of UAW (United Auto Workers) Local 25. Albon died on a Sunday at age 70. He was survived by his second wife, his step-son, a daughter from his first marriage and others. Albon's funeral was held on Wednesday from St. Pius X Church in Glasgow Village. Math Hermann & sons, 10212 Halls Ferry Road was in charge. He was buried with his first wife. |
