English of Glenbane (Lattin & Cullen), Co Tipperary and Clonmel (Cobh), Co Cork
The English family lived in Glenbane civil parish (Lattin & Cullen R. C. church parish), Ireland. They had ten-children. Two sons, Nicholas (c1839-1907) and Edmund (c1848-1894), migrated to Cobh/Queenstown, Co Cork. Nicholas married twice and had 17-issue. Edmund married once and had 6-issue. They both were victuallers by trade. One daughter, Johanna (c1863-1934), married a Walsh, lived in Knocklong, Co Limerick, and had 5-issue.
Of Nicholas 17-children, seven migrated from Cobh. One lived in Tobercurry, Co Sligo and one in Mallow, Co Cork; four immigrated to St, Louis, Missouri, U.S.A. and one to Kent, England. Two of Edmund's six left Cobh, one to Dublin, Ireland and one to Durham, England. Two of Johanna's offspring became Presentation nuns.
