Biography* Loretta Boercker O'Brien, 1898-????:
Born in Missouri to parents both born in Illinois, Loretta's family moved from St. Clair county, Illinois in 1894/5. In 1900, they rented at 5317 North Broadway (a duplex) in St. Louis 1st ward. Loretta was the third child and second daughter. Her father was employed as a machinist. By 1910, they had moved to a rented house at 426 East 14th Street in the 4th ward of Alton in Madison County, Illinois. And by 1920, she was married to Robert O'Brien, had a four-month-old son and was renting at 1441 St. Louis Avenue in St. Louis 3rd ward. In 1930, Loretta was living with her widowed mother at 2833 Twentieth Street in the 18th ward. Although married, neither her husband nor her 10-year-old son was living with her. Loretta was employed as a seamstress with a dress company.

Biography* Ethel Pickens O'Brien, 1887-1948:
Born in Missouri to a father born in Kentucky and a mother born in Missouri, Ethel was married circa 1904 to Cleveland Whitehead. In 1910, they owned a farm at Bloomfield and Poplar Bluff Roads in Caster township, Stoddard County, Missouri. Her parents owned a farm at Bloomfield and Alhambra Roads. By 1930, she had married for a second time to Michael O'Brien. She and Michael were living at 2565 Benton Street in St. Louis 18th ward. None of her five children by Cleveland Whitehead were living with them.

Ethel, 60 years-old and a resident of 4218a St. Louis Street, died on a Thursday at Missouri Baptist Hospital. Cause of death was a cerebral accident and hypertension. Ethel's physician was Dr. C. H Kilker, 3121 North Grand. She was survived by her second husband Michael O'Brien, five children: Dorothy J. Kelly, Jean M. Harrison, Thelma R. Phillips, James and Ruben Whitehead, her father James Pickens of Lipeer, Michigan, siblings, grandchildren and others. Ethel's funeral was held on Monday from St. Matthew's Church. Cullinane Bros. Funeral Home, 3320 North Kingshighway was in charge.

Biography* Harriet Soete O'Brien, 1901-1927:
In 1910, the family is living at 2612a 10th Street in St. Louis 3rd ward. Harrie's father William is working as a city policeman. By 1920, her mother Minnie has married George Wells and they and three Soete children are living at 4578 Garfield in the 26th ward. The step-father is a clerk for the L&N Railroad.

Harriet, age 25, died in a one automobile accident on New Year's Day at Page Avenue and the Creve Couer car tracks in Central township, St Louis County. Her husband Martin, the driver, lost control of the car which struck the curbing and turned over. Cause of death was listed as a fractured skull and broken neck. An inquest was held by the Kirkwood coroner Dr. Louis H Bopp who concluded that it was an "unavoidable auto accident by car turning over ...". Harriet was survived by her husband, mother, brother, sister, mother-in-law. Her funeral was held on Tuesday from the Lynch and Kelly Chapel, 4245 Lindell Blvd. Undertaker Louis H. Bopp of Kirkwood was in charge.
