Biography* | Loretta "Laura" Clancy O'Brien, 1893-1965: Loretta was born in the Clancy home at what is now 928 Belmont Avenue in Chicago's 25th Ward. Known as Laura during her early years, by her early 20's she was known as Lortta. She was occupied as a bookkeeper at a leather goods company in 1920 and was still lving with her parents on Oakley Avenue in the 50th ward in 1930. Loretta married late in life, after her father died in 1942. She and her husband lived in Harvard, McHenry County, Illinois. He died nine-months aftre their marriage and Loretta eventually moved back to Chicago. Loretta, age 72, died on a Thursday. Her funeral was held on Monday morning at Saint Timothy's church. |

Her funeral was held on Tuesday from Saint Henry's church. |
