Biography* | Edna M. Anderson Mulcahy, 1889-1968: Edna was a first generation Swedish-American. In 1900, the family owned their home at 230 North Williams Street in the second ward of Stillwater, Washington County, Minnesota. Edna had two-younger sisters and a younger brother. Her father Andrew, who immigrated in 1873 and was a U.S. citizen, worked as a prison guard. Her mother Anna immigrated in 1886. Edna was educated through the 7th grade. In 1930, she and her husband William Mulcahy were farming in Amor township, Bowman County, North Dakota. By 1940, they had moved to Lakeside township in Aitken County, Minnesota. Edna, 79, of the Park Nursing Home in Hibbing, Saint Louis County, Minnesota died on a Wednesday at General Hospital in Hibbing. The Dougherty funeral home of Hibbing was in charge. |
