Biography* | Albert William Otten, 1913-1983: Albert's parents were both born in Missouri. His paternal grandfather and both maternal grandparents were born in Germany. His paternal grandmother was born in Missouri. In 1920, the family was renting at 2608 North Jefferson in St Louis 18th ward. Albert was the third of six and the oldest of two boys. In 1930, at age 16, Albert was working as a bank clerk. His father Henry was an interior decorator. The family owned a $6,000 house at 4897 San Francisco Avenue in the 22nd precinct. Albert spent some time in California. His Social Security Number was issued there (Social Security was enacted in 1935). He retired from Continental Can Company and was a member of Corpus Christi parish in Jennings and the Corpus Christi Holy Name Society. Albert, 69, died on a Sunday. He was survived by his wife, two daughters, three sons, three sisters: Catherine Alexander, Gertrude Doyon and Virginia Otten, and one brother Paul Otten. He was predeceased by a sister Audrey Otten. The funeral was held on Wednesday from Corpus Christi. Buchholz mortuary, 5967 W. Florrisant Avenue was in charge. He was buried with his parents and later his wife. |

Margaret, 82, died on a Tuesday. She was survived by six of her seven children and two siblings. Margaret's husband and a son predeceased her. The funeral was held from Good Shepard church in Ferguson. Buchholz Spanish Lake Mortuary, 1655 Redman Avenue was in charge of arrangements. Donations to Children's Oncology Clinic c/o Cardinal Glennon hospital, 1465 South Grand, St Louis 63104 were suggested. |

Biography* | Mary E. Reagan Peterson Cody, 1920-2009: Not much is known about Mary. She was married twice. Mary had two children, a boy and a girl, by her first husband Victor Peterson. The boy Carl, born 1940 in Wales, drowned at age 11 in the Mississippi River near Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. The girl Rosemary, birth date and place unknown, married a Mr. Edwards. Circa 1945, Mary married Leo Cody, date and place unknown. She and Leo had four children, two boys and two girls. According to Mary's Social Security death index, she was a resident on Flowery Branch, Hall County, Georgia. Her obit in the St Louis newspaper does not identify the place of death. Mary, 89, died on a Wednesday. She was survived by five children, 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and at least one sibling. Mary's body was donated to Saint Louis University Medical School. A memorial was held on Thursday, 30 July at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, 140 North Elizabeth, Ferguson, Missouri 63135. |

Her mother Amelia was born in Missouri to German parents. Her father James was born in Missouri to either German or Irish parents! In 1900, Henrietta's father James was working as a teamster and the family was renting at 2613 22nd Street in Saint Louis 17th ward. In 1910, they owned their home free of mortgage at 2334 Hert Street in the 18th ward. Henrietta's father was employed as a mover for a storage company. At the time of her 1917 marriage to Richard Cody, Henrietta was living at 2308 Cass Avenue. The marriage was performed by the Rev. Jas. Thos. Coffey before witnesses James G. McEneny & Catherine M. Collins. In 1920, she and James were renting at 4010 Lincoln Avenue (a duplex) in the 22nd ward. In 1930, they were renting at 3734 Saint Louis Avenue in the 20th ward. A resident of Moscow Mills, Missouri, formerly of Ferguson, Henrietta, 63, died on a Friday. She was survived by three sons Richard, James and Robert, and one daughter Patricia Kotowski. Her funeral was held on the following Tuesday from Holy Ghost church in Berkeley, Missouri. Collier's funeral home, 10123 St. Charles Road, was in charge of arrangements. |

The funeral was held from Sacred Heart, 100 Thompson Drive, Troy on Friday. Memorials to the Diabetes Foundation. McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home, Troy, was in charge. |
