Biography* Anastasia Cody Fitzgerald, 1884-1924:
Statia grew up in Carlton and North Brunswick. When she married in 1917, Statia, age 33, was living at home at 129 Barrow Street, North Brunswick and working as a dressmaker. The marriage was performed by Rev. John Peter O'Connell.

Statia, 40, died at Moreland Road in Brunswick on a Wednesday of uraemia (kidney disease) and nephritis (inflammation of the kidney). Her physician was Dr. Sheahan. Statia was survived by her husband and one daughter. The funeral was held on Friday. D. A. Hayes was in charge of the burial.

Biography* Alice Cody Healy, 1887-1965:
Alice was born in the family home at 66 Leicaster Street in Carlton. Before her marriage, Alice worked at the Buckley and Nunn department store in Bourke Street, Melbourne. When she married, her employer offered to promote her head seamstress with a considerable pay increase if she were to stay on. Martin, however, insisted on being the family bread winner and thus Alice retired from her work and took up home duties. As a show of gratitude, Buckley and Nunn provided Alice with her wedding dress.

Alice, 77, died on a Tuesday.

Biography* Andrew Cody, 1896-1957:
Andrew was born at 129 Hawke Street in West Melbourne. When he married in 1929, Andrew, 32, was living at 45 Barrow Street in Bruswick and working as a packer. He and Mary Ellen were married by the Rev. Matthew Beorich before R. Murphy and J. Cody (Andrew's brother?). When Andrew's mother died in 1931, she was living with him.

Andrew, 61, died at home at 28 Ellenvale Avenue in Pascoe Vale South on a Friday. Cause of death was cerebral haemmorhage and carcinoma of the bladder (from which he had been suffering for four-years). Dr. P. Zerman was his physician. Andrew was survived by his wife and three children. The funeral was held on Monday. M. J. Mulqueen was in charge of the burial.

John, 71, died on a Saturday at the Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor on St. George's Road in Northcote. The causes of death were myocardial degeneration and coronary atheroma both of which he had suffered from for years. Dr. T. Rowan was John's physician. John's brother-in-law, J. E. Evans, was the informant on the death cert. The funeral was held the following Tuesday. Burial by D. Mulqueen.

The sixth of seven children and the fourth daughter, Mary was born at the family home at 129 Hawke Street in West Melbourne. Mary, who never married, was employed as a dressmaker.

Mary, 90-years-of-age, died at home at 759 Burwood Road, Hawthorn 3122 on a Monday. Cause of death was cerebral thrombosis (2 weeks) and general arteriosclerosis (6 years). Dr. Wong was her physician. Her niece Mary Margaret Day of Surrey Hills was the informant on the death cert. Mary was buried on Friday. The grave is located in the Synnot Lawn section, row X, grave 45.

There is conflicting evidence of John's birthplace. His birth cert lists it as Rose Hill, Bungareeshire. The family lived in Ballarat, Victoria at the time. His death cert lists Mount Rowan. John's father Thomas, a miner, was born in County Kerry, Ireland. His mother Margaret was born in Castlemaine, Victoria. At the time of his 1917 marriage, John was living at 62 Hodgkinson Street in Clifton Hill and was working in the Postmaster General's Department. His father Thomas was now a bootmaker. John's wife Anastasia, with whom he had one daughter, died in 1924 at age 40. Seven years later, John was married for a 2nd time to Johanna Hewat.

John, 75, a resident of 6 Sumner Ave, Northcote died on a Sunday at the Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Northcote. Cause of death was carcinoma of stomach (months) and coronary sclerosis (years). His physician was H. McKeown of West Melbourne. John was predeceased by two wives and survived by one daughter Margaret. The funeral was held on Wednesday.
