Biography* | Harry "Smoke" Schultz, 1902-1968: A lifelong Janesville resident, Harry retired frrom Fisher Body in 1964. He was a member of Saint William's Parish and United Auto Workers Local 95. Harry, age 66, of 115 North Walnut Street, died on a Wednesday afternoon enroute by ambulance to Mercy Hospital after becoming ill at home. He was survived by his wife, one son, one daughter, one sister, and five brothers. Funeral seervices were held on Saturday in Saint William's Church. |

Biography* | Ambrose Patrick Tracey, 1897-1970: Born and raised on the home farm to parents also born in Wisconsin, Ambrose grew to be a tall man with medium build, dark blue eyes, and light brown hair. He lived his entire life in Rock Township. Ambrose was co-owner of Tracey Oil Company for 18 years and for 12 years was Rock township assessor. He was a World War I veteran of the United States Army. Ambrose was a member of Saint Patrick's Parish in Janesville and its Holy Name Society. Ambrose, age 73, died on a Saturday in Mercy Hospital after a short illness. He was survived by his wife, four sons, two daughters, and two sisters. Funeral services were held on Tuesday in Saint Patrick's Church. |

Biography* | Ellen G. Wolfe Ryan, 1899-1994: In her early life, Ellen worked at Gossard's Sewing Factory for many years. She and her husband moved to Madison circa 1944 where she worked as a Volunteer at Veterans Hospital in Madison. In the 1970's she moved from Madison to Baraboo, where she lived with her daughter Colleen until 1992 when she entered Saint Clare Meadows Care Center in Baraboo. She was a member of Saint Joseph's Parish in Baraboo, the VFW Auxiliary, and was a Gold Star Mother. Ellen, age 94, died on a Sunday at Saint Clare Meadows. She was survived by two daughters, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two sisters, and two brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two brothers, and two sisters. Funeral services were held on Wednesday in Saint Patrick's Church. from her obituary: Be at peace my mother dear, your earthly chores are done. The angels came for you this day, just after the evening sun. With a gentle smile upon your face, the tears flowed from our eyes. As a choir of angels sang for thee, you walked the golden path to God, for all eternity.
