Presumably it was not Bridget's niece Anastasia Cody, daughter of Mary Hanley Cody, would have been 11-years-old. In 1901, Bridget and Thomas were living in Gorteennamona, Clonoulty parish. |

Biography* | Thomas Dwyer, ca1851-????: Thomas was a resident of Knockbrack in Glenkeen parish at the time of his 1880 marriage to Bridget Hanley. In 1901 they were farming in Gorteennamona townland, Clonoulty parish. There were six private dwellings plus one public house in the townland, all were inhabited, containing 30-people. One dwelling was rated class 3, the others class 2. Thomas' house had stone walls, a thatch roof, 4 rooms and 3 windows in front. There were three people living in the house, Thomas, Bridget and Patrick Dwyer age 40 single born in Co Tipperary (Thomas brother?). All three were Roman Catholic and all three could read and write. Thomas had seven of the 28 out-buildings in the townland: stable, cow house, calf house, dairy, fowl house, piggery and barn. He was the landholder of his farm. Thomas has not been found in the 1911 census and no death record has been found between 1901 and 1911. |

Biography* | Hanora "Nano" Begley Bowles, 1838-1921: In 1901, the widow Nano, age 63, was living in Cullig townland, Churchtown civil parish, County Cork. She spoke Irish and had two servants. There were four houses in the townland, all rated 2nd class. A total of seventeen people lived in the townland, all of them Catholics. Nano's house had 5-rooms, was made of stone with a slate roof and had two windows in front. The landlord's name was Edw'd Donovan of Liscarroll. There were 23 out-buildings in the townland , ten of them on Nano's place including a stable. cow-house, calf-house, dairy, 2 piggeries, fowl-house, boiling-house, barn, and shed. In 1911, Nano was living with her brother Timothy Begley in Glenfield North, Knocktemple civil parish. Nano, 82, of Glenfield, died on a Wednesday of senile decay. Her death cert informant was Jerome Clifford, also of Glenfield, probably a relation of her brother Timothy's wife Elizabeth Clifford. |
