Biography* | Hugh P. Maguire, 1868-1902: Hugh immigrated to the United States in 1886. At the time of his 1896 marriage to Catherine Leonard, he was a saloon keeper in Woburn, Massachusetts and was living at 13 Conn Street in that city. Hugh and Catherine, parents of a two-or-three-year-old daughter, separated in 1900. They were granted separate support by the probate court in Middlesex County. Hugh left the saloon business and became a clerk. Hugh, 35, died on a Saturday of tuberculosis. He had been ill for six-months. |

Biography* | Mary Jane Maguire, 1897-1991: A graduate of Milford High School, Mary worked at the Internal Revenue Service in Boston for 40-years before retiring. After her mother died in 1946, she lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts. A resident of 4 Washington Avenue, Cambridge, Mary died on a Friday in hospital at age 94. She was survived by several cousins. Her funeral was held on Tuesday from Edwards Memorial funeral home, 44 Congress Street, with mass at St. Mary's church, Winter Street. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions were requested to be made to St. Mary's church, 27 Pearl Street, Milford. Mary Jane is buried with her mother and step-father. |
