Biography* | | Joseph E. Norwalk, 1910-1982: Joseph was the youngest of two sons. He was probably born in Dane township, Dane County, Wsconsin where his parents owned a mortgaged farm in 1910. Joseph's father was a first generation German-American whose parents were Bohemians from Austria. Joseph's mother was a first generation Irish-American. He completed four-years of high school. In 1940, Joseph and his wife Isola were farming in Town 07 North of Range 23 East in Haakon County, Souh Dakota. Joseph was an enumerator in the 1940 census in at least ten-townships of Haakon County, including his own township. In 1947, Joseph and Isola were living in Princeton, Minnesota. By 1963, they were living in Chula Vista, San Diego County, California. Joseph, 72, died on a Monday. The funeral was held on Thursday at Saint Pius X Catholic church. The Humphrey Chula Vista Mortuary was in charge. |
