- On Thursday of the following week, January 25th, an article was published in the Worcester Evening Gazette with the headline ''Kept Wedding Secret Even From Parents''. In the artcle it was stated that Winifred and Thomas had been secretly married the previous August at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. Each continued to live at their own parent's homes after the wedding. They intend to start living together soon. Speculation about the reasons for this unusual arrangement and why there were two weddings is left to the reader.
