Biography* Gilvie Herbert Bugh, 1902-1996:
Gilvie grew up on a farm in Washington township, Blackford County, Indiana. Both of his parents were also born in Indiana. He was one of five children, two of whom died young. Gilvie was the oldest surviving. In 1928, he was living at 2936 Portland Avenue and working as a buyer for Sears & Roebuck & Co. In 1930, Gilvie and his brother Thurl were rooming at 2825 Oakland Avenue in Minneapolis 8th ward (Hennepin County, Minnesota). Gilvie now had two-years of college. After their marriage in 1935, Gilvie and Ann rented an apartment in a duples at 4132 Grand Avenue in the 8th ward. In 1940, the rent was $24/month. Gilvie's mother- and sister-in-law were renting the other apartment. Gilvie was working as notions buyer for Sears. In 1939, he worked 52-weeks and earned $1,500 in wages. By 1942, they had moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan and were living at 1419 Clinton. Gilvie was working as a clerk at Shakespeare Products Comapny, a fishing equipment company. Within a year he became a cost accountant in the company. By 1953 the family had moved tp 925 Davis. After his wife An died in 1988, Gilvie moved to Cincinnati, Ohio.

Gilvie, a resident of 7945 Cherrywood Court in Cincinnat,i died at Beechknoll Convalescent Center on a Wednesday eight-days after his 94th birthday. Cause of death was urosepsis due to cardiopulmonary arrest. Gilvie was survived by a daughter, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a sister Geraldine. He was preceded by, in addition to his wife Ann, his brother Thurl. His remains were cremated. A memorial service was held in Kalamazoo. The cremains were later buried in the Bugh family plot in Hartford, Indiana. John Hodapp Sons, Inc of Cincinnati was in charge.

Biography* Phoebe Gratton Walker, 1892-1990:
Phoebe was born to a first generation Canadian-American father born in Wisconsin and a first generation Canadian-American mother born in New York. Circa 1897, the family moved from Wisconsin to the Windom, Cottonwood County, Minnesota area. In 1900, the family was renting a farm in Great Bend township. Phoebe was the fifth of eight children and received an 8th grade education in Windom public schools. After her marriage to William Walker, she and her husband operated a rented farm in the same township where she grew up. By 1930, they had moved into Windom and owned a $3,000 house at 1548 Second Avenue. Phoebe worked for many years at Wollf Store in Windom where she was a clerk in the clothing department. Phoebe was an active member of Saint Francis Catholic church, the VFW Auxiliary, the Royal Neighbors Birthday club and the Mother's club. Before moving to a nursing home circa 1989, Phoebe lived at 206 16th Street.

Phoebe Elsie Walker, 98, died on a Tuesday at Sogge Memorial Good Samaritan Center where she had been resident for a year. Cause of death was cardiac arrhythmia (immediate), coronary artery disease, generalized ASCVD (long standing), CVA and Hypertension CHF. Phoebe was survived by one son, seven-grandchildren, 20-great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren. The funeral was held on Friday at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic church with Rev John Tighe officiating. Coleen Ortmann was organist and Maxine Frank was vocalist. Pallbearers were Jim LeTourneau, Einer Welton, Howard Schwalbach, and Edwin Schneider.
