Biography* | John Martin, 1813-1882: John was living in the Town of Greenport, Columbia County, New York in 1860; by 1865 he had moved to Hudson and in 1870 was in the 4th ward. In 1880, the family was living at 62 Third Street. John worked as a laborer sometimes on the railroad. John, about 69, died on a Monday and was survived by his wife and five children. His funeral was held from Saint Mary's on Wednesday. |

William owns no real estate and has a personal estate of $30. In 1870, they are living in the 2nd ward. William, who cannot write, is a citizen and has $4,800 of real estate. There is no record of William in Columbia County after his wife died in 1873 - and no record of him has been found elsewhere either. In 1880, two of his five children are living in Hudson, each with a different family. |

Biography* | Andrew Sullivan, 1859-1889: Andrew left the family home before his 21st birthday. About 1880 he began working as a collector on the line of boats in and about the harbor of Hudson, New York. By 1889, he was Captain of the steamers Isabella and Eloise owned by the Hudson Catskill Ferry Company. He also belonged to the Hudson Fire Department. Andrew, 10 days shy of his 30th brithday, died on a Wednesday at his home after an illness of a week. In respect to his memory, all boats displayed their flags at half mast on Thursday. His funeral was held on Saturday from his residence and then from Saint Mary's. |

Biography* | Margaret Martin King, 1859-1952: Margaret was a first generation Irish-American. She was the second child of eight and the oldest daughter. Margaret worked in the cotton mill as a seamer. Some time before 1925, she moved to Albany. Margaret, 93, died on a Monday at the home of her son, the Rev. John J. King.6 Bishop Scully called at the funeral home on Monday evening and recited the prayers for the dead. Funeral services were held on Wednesday from the McDonald Funeral Home and then from Saint Mary's. The solemn high requiem mass was celebrated by her son, Rev John J. King, with deacon Rev. John F. McDonald, sub-deacon Rev. James Brennock, and master of ceremonies Rev. John Tracy. Eighteen other priests were in the sanctuary. Miss Eva Schutto played the organ and sang. Pall bearers were George Weinman, Bartholomew Delaney Sr., Bartholomew Delaney Jr., John Rourke, John Martin, and Robert Delaney. |

- Rev. King was the pastor of Our Lady of Mercy. The rectory is apparently located in Albany County but not sure exactly where. It may be in Colonie or it may be in Albany City.
