Biography* | Raymond Henry Hess, 1908-1993: Raymond was christened on 7 June 1908 at Saint John's in Spring Green with sponsors Oscar P. Jordan and Carrie Needham Jordan. He worked on different farms in Sumpter township, Honey Creek township (Denzer), and Troy township (Black Hawk and Witwen), all in Sauk County. Later he worked as a janitor in the Sauk Prairie schools until his retirement. He was a resident of Sauk County Health Care Center from August of 1992. Raymond died on a Wednesday at Reedsburg Memorial Hospital. He was survived by one sister. He was preceded in death by three brothers. Funeral services were held on Saturday from Saint Aloysius in Prairie du Sac with the Rev. William Seipp officiating. |
