Biography* | Henry J. Hohn, 1886-1969: Henry's parents were both born in Wisconsin, Of medium height and build, with blue eyes and brown hair, he was renting a farm in Washington township, Douglas County in 1930. In 1935, the family was living in Baker's 6th ward, Mount Vernon P.O., Davison County. By 1947, Henry was living in Letcher, Sanborn County, South Dakota. Henry died of a cva on a Thursday in a Huron, South Dakota hospital. He was survived by his wife, four daughters, one son, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four children, two brothers, and one sister. Funeral services were held on Monday at Saint Scholastica Church with the Rev. Philip Russo officiating. |

Biography* | Louis Andrew Hohn, 1925-1991: Louis was the 7th of the 8 children born to Henry Hohn and Mary Neuheisel. He graduated from Hopper Consolidated High School near Plankinton. In 1944, Louis was living in Woonsocket. After his marriage in 1947, he moved to Rapid City. Louis was employed there by Swander Baking Company and Metz Baking Company for 38-years. Later, he worked at Amcon Distributing and Remodel King Company. Louis was a member of Cathedral parish and Moose Lodge. Louis died on a Monday. He was survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, two sisters, and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters. The funeral was held on Thursday from the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help with the Rev. Mark McCormick officiating. Osheim-Catron funeral home was in charge of arrangements. |

Biography* | Leona Clara Hohn Schrank, 1923-1974: Leona was a resident of Corsica at the time of her 1944 marriage in Blooming Valley (Corsica P.O.) by Lutheran Minister P. Techlenburg before witnesses Louis Hohn, her brother and a resident of Woonsocket, and Bonna Mae Schrank, the groom's sister (?) and a resident of Corsica. By 1969, Leona was living in Mitchell, South Dakota and was employed at the Reynolds Furniture Store. Leona, a divorced drapery seamstress living at 500 West 7th in Mitchell, died on a Wednesday. She was dead-on-arrival at Methodist Hospital from pulmonary embolsim, phlebothrombosis, and burgers disease. Leona was survived by three sons, four grandchildren, her mother, one brother, and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her father, two sisters, and one brother. Funeral services were held on Saturday at Saint John's church in Blooming Valley of rural Corsica with the Rev. Eugene Ketterling officiating. |
