Biography* | Stella Neuheisel Kluthe Hohn, 1919-2003: Stella was a niece of Josephine Schumacher Neuheisel. Aunt Josephine and her husband John Neuheisel raised Stella when Stella's own mother, Josephine's sister, died. Stella, then, was a first cousin of John Neuheisel and Josephine Schumacher's children - she was not adopted. Stella was married and living in Mitchell, South Dakota in 1947. By 1966 she was living in Parkston. Stella, age 85, died at Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston on a Saturday. She was survived by a daughter and grandson. Stella was predeceased by her husband, two brothers and three sisters. Services were held Tuesday. Koehn Bros Funeral Home of Parkston was in charge. |

Biography* | Logan John Beiswanger, 1905-1984: Logan's parents were both born in Illinois. In 1930, he was living with his brother Elmer and wife Marie on their rented farm in Lincoln township, Douglas County. Logan was working as a farm laborer. In 1935, he was living at 1002 East 5th in Mitchell's 3rd ward and working as a laborer. Logan had an 8th grade education and was a Catholic. In 1945, he was farming in Blendon township, Mount Vernon P.O., Davison County. Circa 1968, he moved to Mitchell. Logan's funeral was held on a Friday from Holy Family Catholic church in Mitchell. He was survived by his wife, one son and daughter-in-law, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother, three sisters, and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, five sisters, and one great-grandchild. Bittner funeral home was in charge of arrangements. |
