Biography* | Marie Hazel Bodeman Miller, 1908-2000: In 1910, Hazel and her family were living at 2226 19th Avenue South in Minneapolis 11th ward. In 1918, they were at 2014 17th Avenue South also in the 11th ward. Marie was educated through the 10th grade in high school. In 1930, She was living with the family at 2022 14th Avenue South in the 11th. Marie, at age 21, was working in a bag factory. Marie worked for over 20-yrs in the kitchen at Swedish hospital in Minneapolis. Marie Hazel Miller, 91, of 200 Park Lane, Buffalo, Wright Co, Minnesota, formerly of Minnesapolis, died on a Tuesday at Park View Care Center (a Nursing Home) in Buffalo. Cause of death was old age. Marie was attended by Dr. Glen Deutsch of the Buffalo clinic at 1700 Hwy 25 North. She was survived by two-daughters, two-sons, 10-grandchildren and 14-great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, her husband Earl F. Miller in 1982, two sistesr and one brother. The funeral was held on Friday at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo with the Rev Charles L. Froehle officiating. Marlene Mohwinkel was the organist. Rolf Mohwinkel sang "How Great Thou Art" and "On Eagle's Wings." The pallbearers were Anne Marie Dvorak, Mark Dvorak, Rebecca Fuller, Angela McGraw, Melissa Miller and Dave Hericks. Peterson Chapel was in charge. |

Biography* | Dorothy E. Bodeman Miller Soukup, 1910-1995: In 1910, Dorothy's parents and her older sister were living at 2226 19th Avenue South in Minneapolis 11th ward. In 1918, they were at 2014 17th Avenue South also in the 11th ward. Dorothy had an 8th grade education. She married Fredie Miller in 1928. In 1940, they were living at 420 8th Avenue South in the 6th ward. Dorothy and Fredie were divorced in 1953. In 1955, when Dorothy married Victor Soukup, she was living at 920 East 19th Street, Minneapolis. This marriage was performed by the Rev Albert J. Coburn (OP), a Roman Catholic priest, of 2424 8th Avenue South before witnesses Shirley McDonald and John McDonald. Dorothy worked as a domestic in private homes. Sometime later she and Victor were divorced. Dorothy E. Soukup, 85, of 2739 Cedar Avenue South, Minneapolis, died on a Friday at Cedar Pines Health Care Center, Minneapolis. A niece was informant on the death cert. Cause of death was pneumonia (7-days), aspiration/dysplagia and parkinson's disease. Dorothy was attended by Dr. Carmen Divertie (MD) of 701 Park Avenue South, HCMC, Minneapolis. She was survived by a sister Marie Miller and nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded by a son. The funeral was held on Tuesday at the Washburn-McReavy Davies Chapel, 2301 Dupont at Hennepin Avenue South. |

Biography* | Robert G Bodeman, 1915-1994: Robert was the youngest of four children and the only son. In 1918, the family was living at 2014 17th Avenue South in Minneapolis 11th ward. His father Henry was working as a moulder in an iron factory. In 1930, Rogert was an inmate at the State Training School and Hospital in Red Wing, Goodhue County. This facility included 341 inmates and a staff, with families, of 61. Robert completed the 8th grade and in 1940 he, his wife and family were renting, one of seven apartments, at 1813 Elliot Avenue in the 5th ward for $22/month. Robert was working as a laborer on sewer construction. In 1939, he worked for 33-weeks and earned $640. He also had other income not from wages. Later Robert worked as a truck driver at the U.S. Arsenal. He was divorced from his wife Doris. Robert G "Ted" Bodeman Sr, 79, of 321 East 25th Street in Minneapolis, died on a Friday at Whittier Health Center, Minneapolis. Cause of death was pneumonia. Ted was attended by Dr. Roxanne Merz, MD of 701 Park Avenue South in Minneapolis. He was survived by one son, four daughters, grandchildren, sisters Marie Miller and Dorothy Soukup both of Minneapolis, nieces and nephews. The funeral was held on Tuesday at the Albin Chapel, 2200 Nicollet Avenue South, Minneapolis. |

Her father John was born in Ireland and immigrated in 1879. Her mother Nora was herself a first generation Irish-American born in Minnesota. The children were raised on a farm in Parnell township in Traverse County, Minnesota. In 1930, Rose a trained nurse with two-years-of-college, was lodging at 741 Seward in Detroit's 4th ward with three other nurses. All four were working in a hospital. In 1940, married, Rose and husband Arthur were renting in Barry Village in Big Stone County. She was working as a registered nurse in a private home. In 1939, Rose worked 8-weeks and earned $100 in wages. Later, she and Frank moved to Hennepin County. Rose, 70, of 4016 Utica Avenue South in Saint Louis Park died on a Wednesday at Methodist hospital in Saint Louis Park. John P Boylan of 1202 West 5th Avenue, Flint, Michigan was the informant of the death cert. Cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage (3-hours), essential hypertension (1-year) and chronic olistructive lung disease. Rose was attended by physician W. L. Jefferies (MD) of 6490 Excelsior Blvd, Saint Louis Park. She was survived by sisters Helen Nelson of Granada Hills, California, Mary A Parrish of Van Nuys, California, brother John P Boylan of Flint, Michigan. Biography* | Arthur M. Parker, 1894-1968: Arthur, a first generation Holland-American, was the sixth of twelve children and the fourth of six sons. His farmer parents Frank and Mathilda immigrated in 1884 and came to Illinois where all the children were born. The family surname was Americanized to Parker from Parquer. In 1900 they were living in Henry County. Sometime after the census in 1910 the family moved to Big Stone County, Minnesota where they farmed in Toqua township. In 1940, Arthur and his wife Rose were living on Parnell Street, Barry Village in that county. Arthur was employed as a school bus driver and worked 72-hours the week-ending 30 March 1940. In 1939 he was employed for 18-weeks and earned $300. In the same year, his wife Rose worked for 8-weeks as a registered nurse in a private home and earned $100. They paid $6.00-per-month rent. Arthur's widowed mother lived next door. Later, Frank and Rose moved to Hennepin County where Arthur was employed in apartment building maintenance. Arthur, 73, of 4033 Wooddale South, Saint Louis Park, Hennepin County died on a Sunday at Swedish hospital in Minneapolis. Cause of death was coma (cause undetermined) (12-hours), delerium tremens (24-hours), excision upper lobe right lung for undifferentiated primary bronchogenic carcinoma (50-hours). Arthur was attended by physician Frank I. Johnson of 706 Medical Arts Buillding in Minneapolis. He was survived by wife Rose Marie (Boylan), brother Peter B of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, sisters Amy Wengart of Minneapolis, Alice McAloon and Lucille Parker both of Huron, South Dakota, Elizabeth Fitzharris of Long Beach and Florence Doman of Rock Island, Illinois, as well as26-nieces and nephews, 62-great nieces & nephews and 3-great-great nieces. The funeral was held on Tuesday at Most Holy Trinity. White Funeral Home, 2730 Hennepin, Minneapolis was in charge. |

Cause of death was coronary sclerosis (3-years), hypertension (essential) (3-years), cardiac decompensation (6-months) and bronchial asthma (6-months). She was attended by Dr. Edward C. Maeder, 520 La Salle Bldg. Ollie was survived by son Earl and brother Harry N Page in addition to her 2nd husband Daniel Noonan, all of Minneapolis.
